 Embroidery

Embroidery is stitching through fabric. An embroidery program is a series of electronic instructions that tell the multi-head embroidery machine how to move, trim threads and switch colours. Many different types of fabrics, garments and headwear can be embroidered as long as it is first able to be framed and then have a needle driven through it. Different fabrics and apparel require different stitch techniques to achieve a good result. This requires that different embroidery programs be used.
We have invested in a top of the range digitising system so that we produce top quality embroidery programs in house. After digitising a design we stitch out a proof prior to production. There are instances where this does not occur - for basic text and extremely large designs we proof using a computer-generated image. This method is also used for urgent jobs. The price of embroidery is based on the number of stitches in each design and the number of units in each order. We have approximately 300 different coloured threads to choose from. There is not a thread colour for every Pantone or PMS colour reference but if these references numbers are supplied we can usually get a close match.

Screen/Heat Printing

A screen print is the use of ink on any number of different materials. We have a close relationship with a highly competent and technically knowledgeable screen-printing business. This enables us to provide a screen print service at a reasonable price. There are a number of different print processes available; we will advise as to which process will give the best result. There is a set-up cost which is based on the number of colours in each design and the size of the print. The unit price depends upon the amount of colours and the quantity of prints. We are unable to provide a quote without artwork. Please provide your artwork when you contact us with your inquiries.
Acceptable File Format Information:
Please Note: If artwork needs to be created or re-created an hourly art cost will apply. Image resolution should be around 300dpi. (N.B. The better the artwork that is supplied, the better the quality or the reproduction will be.) These are the acceptable file formats: Corel Draw up to version 13. JPEG BMP Proofs are usually supplied via an electronically generated image.

Pad Printing

Pad printing is a printing process that can transfer a 2-D image onto a 3-D object. This can be done using an indirect offset (gravure) printing process that involves an image being transferred from the printing plate (cliché) via a silicone pad onto a substrate (surface to be printed). Pad printing is used for printing on otherwise impossible products in many industries including medical, automotive, promotional, apparel, electronics, appliances, sports equipment and toys. Physical changes within the ink film both on the cliché and on the pad allow it leave the etched image area in favor of adhering to the pad, and to subsequently release from the pad in favor of adhering to the substrate (material being printed). The unique properties of the silicone pad enable it to pick the image up from a flat plane and transfer it to a variety of surface (i.e. flat, cylindrical, spherical, compound angles, textures, concave surfaces, convex surfaces).
